McEwen’s Moto Leadout
by Velochimp on March 21, 2007
Ciclismo-online.com has some screen captures from the RAI coverage of stage 1 of Tirreno-Adriatico. Robbie McEwen won in a field sprint, but not without some controversy. On closer inspection it looks like the TV motorcycles are staying a bit too close to the action. So close in fact that they practically give Robbie McEwen a leadout going into the final 300 meters when Robbie was clearly in front.

From this angle it looks like the Predictor Lotto team has a motorcycle on its team.

Robbie is very close to the motorcycle in the last stretch of the stage.
