Jan Ullrich has scheduled a press conference for next Monday and speculation has been ripe on just what Der Kaiser will talk about. Rumors have been heavily leaning on an Ullrich retirement announcement since Ullrich has yet to get a license from any national federation.
Now comes news from Sport-Bild that Jan Ullrich may announce that he will sign for Continental Austrian Team Volksbank. Ullrich was recently training with Andreas Kloden and other ex teammates in Mallora and seems to be doing the things necessary to prepare for a season full of racing. Volksbank team manager Thomas Kofler stopped short of saying that there was signed contract, but did confirm that he met with Ullrich and his manager.
