Whither Giro Ionos?

The Giro Ionos was released as the latest Giro helmet during the Tour de France. The new helmet was sported by all the major Giro sponsored teams including Discovery Channel, Phonak and Rabobank. Mysteriously after the Tour, the Giro Ionos is not on any rider’s head. Look at pictures from any of the latest races such as the US Pro Championships, Vuelta, Tour of Poland. All if the Giro sponsored riders are wearing the ATMOS and not the IONOS. Is this simply part of the product release cycle, or did Giro have to pull the helmet?
