Tour of California: Google Maps
The Amgen Tour of California is only 2 1/2 weeks away, so I decided to checkout the website for some recent news. The website is using Google Maps to map out the entire course.
Google maps make it easy to zoom in to the course and view the route exactly. Check out the Google map of the prologue on their home page.
You can use the Gmap Pedometer to map out your training route and get altitude information too.
Nice use of Google Maps there.
check out http://www.wayfaring.com for a great use of google maps too… nice for laying out your own cycling route and seeing where others are riding.
