The 2006 Tour de Romandie was unveiled today, though not as exciting as a Grand Tour unveiling. The course does not deviate much year by year. The 2006 edition takes place from April 25th to the 30th. It begins with the classic prologue of 3.5 Km in the heart of old Geneva and ends with a 20Km time trial in Lausanne. In between there are many climbs, which makes for ideal terrain for those training for the Giro D’Italia which begins one week after the conclusion of Romandie.
Stage 1: Genève – Genève, 3.4 km
Stage 2: Payerne – Payerne, 171 km
Stage 3: Porrentruy – Porrentruy, 174.7 km
Stage 4: Bienne – Leysin, 165 km
