Mercado to Agritubel.
The transfer is imminent, Juan Miguel Mercad will join french team Agributel. Agtributel is a smaller French team with ProTour hopes. They have to first try to convince the UCI that they are more worthy than AG2R of completely disappearing in ever race they enter except for small French races. Not sure why these underperforming French teams are getting their hopes up on joining the ProTour. AG2R and Agributel aren’t two teams with many promising riders on their roster. What about Panaria with Emmanuele Sella? or any other team.
Poor old Giovanni Savio, manager of Selle Italia Columbia can’t get a big time sponsor for his team to keep the talent he finds. Jose Rujano and Ivan Parra are heading off to ricer pastuers. Hey Agributel, why don’t you drop the French guys and sponsor Selle Italia Columbia, then it would be worth getting into the ProTour.
