The Vuelta has a battle on it’s hand as it does every year. This year it looks like the race may well come down to the last time trial. Denis Menchov has a 47 second lead over Roberto Heras. Two tough mountain stages saw Menchov maintain his lead. Today Robert Laiseka came back from Lala land to show he still has the ability to climb mountains fast as he used to do a few years ago. Tom Danielson, in his first full Grand Tour is doing well lying in 6th place overall.
