Team LPR get Dario Pieri right away

Dario Pieri is no longer part of Lampre-Caffita. The passista (Italian equivalent of rouleur, or really big guy who can crank along) may not have gone well with Lampre. Pieri burst onto the Classics two years ago with a great performance in Paris Roubaix. His performance made many think of another Franco Ballerini. Unfortunately, Dario couldn’t quite get back to that level since. His move to the smaller Team LPR is a big coup for the tiny squad, but don’t look for Dario in Paris-Roubaix.
