Ivan Basso must have been in some serious negotiation with the Discovery Channel team as they were very disappointed when they heard that Ivan Basso resigned with CSC. Looks like Popovich is not ready to take over the mantle just yet. The Discos have been entertaining the idea of using “Big” George Hincapie as the Tour leader since his Time Trialing and climbing ability have progressively improved over the years. Sunday’s stage helped george’s case a little bit. Plus the Discos have a two time Giro winner on staff in Paolo Salvodelli.

Perhaps there is a chance of signing Zabriskie since they left him at that side of the road after his crash.
