Speculation is rampant that Armstrong will give up the Malliot Jaune to a breakaway on Stage 6.
Why would Discovery want to give up the yellow jersey? They want to save their energy for later in the race mostly. Typically this is not a bad move as the leading team is charged with chasing down breaks and leading the peloton.

The pattern of the last few sprint stages might make having the lead seem inconsequential. There are two strong sprint teams that are gunning for wins. Davitamon and Quick Step have taken control and chased down breaks allowing CSC and Discovery to take a break each of the last few stages.

There is not much reason to doubt that this pattern will not repeat itself for the rest of the flat stages so holding the Yellow Jersey may or may not be detrimental to a team like Discovery or CSC who have hopes for winning the Tour overall.

Stage 6 drops into Germany and CSC are still bitter at losing the Yellow Jersey from a freak crash. There are reports that Bjarne Riis really wants the jersey back, especially before the mountain stages.
The top placed non-CSC rider is Jens Voight in 3rd spot. He is notorious for having tremendous stamina to sustain long breaks at high speeds especially in terrain like Stage 6 which contains four Cat 4 climbs. So, my pick for Stage 6 is for Jens Voight to breakaway and take the yellow jersey.
