Great article on Slate about how to revive the Tour from being boring.
Watching Lance pass Jan Ullrich gave me mixed feelings. While I do like seeing Lance succeed, I do not want to see a Tour like last year where everyone crumbled and Lance simply dominated. True there was the emergence of Kloden and Basso on the podium, but I am just hoping that someone makes it close or beats Lance in the end. No offense, I admire and respect Lance, but seeing at least a close battle such as in 2003 would be a good way to go out, win or lose.

Boy do I miss the Giro. In that race they must have purposely given the riders false maps on the early stages such as to Tropea. Everyone expected AleJet to ride the Fassa train to victory, but we had Paolo “The Cricket” Bettini pouncing on the field. Bettini and DiLuca’s battles in the early week really spiced up the Giro and made it unforgettable. I am having trouble deleting the coverage on my DVR to make room for the Tour.
